Ah, Yosemite. God’s Country, no doubt. Over the years, I’ve gone on many of the annual Bauer Resorts, International-sponsored weekend hikes in the eastern Sierras with my older brother and a posse of his oldest friends. We climb the heights to see all, seeking the perspective that only altitude can offer, and enjoying a respite from the cares and worries of the world. These pictures show why it’s always worth it…
One day I got a call: can I help put together some events and handle ground logistics for Michael Franti’s Boston stop on his Passport to the World Tour? Michael and the band and crew arrived happy but crispy from NYC, several people exclaiming that the previous night’s show there was one of the very best the band had ever done. Here’s a few shots from that special day…
I made one too-brief trip to Bali just after that massive Christmas tsunami hit back in 2004. We almost cancelled the trip, for obvious reasons, but decided in the end it was better to go and do what we could while there. Incredible people, island, culture, arts and craft traditions. How have I not been back in 10 years?
