Phew! Can hardly contain my joy that the craven Bushismo Era is coming to a close this month, and my hopes that George’s new show at the International Criminal Court in the Hague is a smash hit.
I’m somewhat cynical but cautiously optimistic at the changes that President Obama will be able to lead and facilitate, but at least a portion of our long national nightmare will come to a close soon, and that is unambiguously all to the good. Huzzah!
Meanwhile, we’re closing the door also on a year of grand Dharma adventures (Afghanistan!) and beginning to dream of adventures still to come. India, for sure, but maybe Morocco or Mongolia this year too, if we’re lucky. Time shall tell.
In the meantime, the snow is falling in New England, the solstice has passed and a new moon is waxing larger every day. Welcome to the new year!
